What happens when over 100 senior facilities leaders from the top colleges and universities all over the US, Canada and the UK gather to embrace collaboration and innovation?
The result is a re-energized approach to “the significant number of challenges that bind us all together,” said Oxford’s Director of Estates, Paul Goffin–plus the support of new friends and partners, and the wealth of knowledge their diverse experiences provide.
Bart Becker, VP of Facilities at the University of Calgary, commented: “HEFF ‘17 was a fantastic event, with relevant topics, strong suppliers, and great social time with peers. Well-organized and the shorter TED-talk style presentation s were very good– succinct and informative.”
Don Sundgren, AVP & Chief Facilities Officer at UVA, also thoroughly enjoyed the “substance and networking. I really like the broad subject matter—learning environments, architecture, futurists—rather than than more narrowly focused FM topics typical of others.”
The cutting-edge content on the latest innovations in facilities planning, design, construction and operations was as equally enriching for suppliers as it was for attendees. “HEFF continues to do a great job at providing a good balance between business and pleasure. The speakers and topics are valuable and pertinent to me as a supplier,” said Alerton Product Owner Kevin Callahan.
The intimate size of the forum combined with the relaxed environment of Palm Springs left attendees refreshed and reinvigorated. Administrators returned to their districts with more than just innovation on the brain, but a new community of like-minded partners full of fresh energy and evocative ideas.
