Here at influence group, we are celebrating our 5-year anniversary and are at a critical inflection point in the growth of our organization. To take our company to the next level, we’re seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Conference / Content Producer.

We have established ourselves as a premier producer of executive-level events for the real estate, design, construction and facilities markets. The opposite of a trade show, our events are intimate, personable and highly interactive.

What is the Role?

As a Conference / Content Producer, you will be responsible for researching and creating the intellectual content for our events and blogs. This person will have input into every aspect of our events development, from inception, through marketing to onsite delivery.

The Conference Producer will be involved in shaping the actual content and format of our events, so meticulous research and planning is central to the role. The Producer will also play a large part in attracting relevant speakers and building relationships with industry thought leaders in order to be constantly aware of the topics that could potentially translate into a compelling and successful conference.

Writing is also an important part of the role, being able to create content (blog articles, reports) that will appeal to our target audiences.

Requirements:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Must be a curious learner.
  • Solid understanding of content marketing
  • Upbeat positive attitude and self-starter work style
  • Available to travel to our events (2019: Palm Springs, Miami, Santa Barbara, Austin and more)
  • Journalism background a plus

What is the Role?

As an Audience Development Manager, you are responsible for researching and connecting with top-level decision makers and must be able to effectively position the value of attending our leadership forums. You will have the opportunity to cross-sell into our full portfolio of events; which represent a variety of industries (retail, healthcare, hospitality, education, food service, senior care and corporate workplace).

In short, you will be recruiting the audience for our events. We offer a competitive base salary plus an uncapped commission structure. There is a clear promotional structure where high achievers quickly progress, as we only promote from within. This position is located in our downtown NYC office. We will consider Work from Home scenarios for candidates with previous event sales experience.

The Must Haves:
  • Strong cold calling and written communication skills.
  • 4+ years of sales experience.
  • Ability to research and “hunt” for new prospects using Linkedin, Google and social media.
  • Fearless, not intimidated communicating with top executives.
  • Ability to work independently and take constructive feedback.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with a positive and honest personality.
  • Available and willing to travel to our events (2019: Palm Springs, Miami, Austin, Santa Barbara, San Diego and more).

Previous Conference Delegate / Attendee sales experience a plus!

We have an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our growing team at the influence group. The Business Development Manager is a confident and highly motivated professional whose role is to sell premium sponsorships for our portfolio of executive-level events.

Success in the position requires self-motivation, a competitive spirit and the ability to effectively communicate with senior executives. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude are essential qualifications. He or she will collaborate closely with the entire Influence team to ensure the success of each event. The successful candidate is someone who is not only willing to follow instructions, but also take the ball and run with it!

This position presents wonderful growth opportunities for the right candidate. If you have previous conference sales experience (especially with one-on-one meetings/hosted buyer formats) we want to hear from you!

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years B2B sales experience
  • Must have the skills and confidence to identify and qualify sales opportunities
  • Excellent verbal (phone) and written communication abilities
  • We are a lean organization. You must be able to work on multiple projects with minimal supervision
  • Strong time management and interpersonal skills. Must be focused!
  • Must thrive in a vibrant, fast-moving environment
  • Ability to travel to our events (2019: Palm Springs, Miami, Austin, Santa Barbara, San Diego and more)
